Grow a Garden 2 Ghoul Garden: Halloween Event Guide
Key takeaways
  • The Halloween update added Ghoul Garden, a spooky map inside Grow a Garden 2 with its own save.
  • Ghoul Garden uses a new currency called Candy Corn. You earn it mostly by selling crops you grow there.
  • The seed shop sells Spirit versions of normal crops, plus two Super seeds: Great Pumpkin and Vampire Bloom (about 150 million Candy Corn each, 0.2% stock chance).
  • The Witch's Cauldron brews three seeds you can't buy: Spirethorn, Dead Oak and Night Shade. A rare Mythic, Candied Cornflower, comes from the Halloween Pack.

Halloween has reached Grow a Garden 2. The October update opened a brand new map called Ghoul Garden, with its own shop, its own money and a bubbling Witch's Cauldron. If you have been wondering what all the pumpkins and ghosts are about, this guide explains how the event works, what you can grow, and how to make the most of it before it ends.

Everything here is based on what players and guide sites have reported so far. Some details, like exact prices and odds, can change with small patches, so always check the shop in-game before you spend.

What is Ghoul Garden?

Ghoul Garden is a separate Halloween map inside Grow a Garden 2. It works a lot like the Fall Harvest world: it has its own garden and its own save data, so the crops you plant there stay there. Your normal Garden Valley farm is not touched while you play the event.

Because it is a fresh start, everyone begins on the same level. That makes it a fun place for newer players to catch up, since you don't need a big Sheckles balance to do well.

How Candy Corn works

Candy Corn is the money of Ghoul Garden. You can't spend Sheckles or Leaves there. The main way to earn Candy Corn is simple: plant seeds, grow crops and sell them, just like in the main game. Bigger and rarer crops sell for more, and mutations still help a lot.

A few tips for earning Candy Corn faster:

  • Start cheap. The first Spirit seeds cost only a few Candy Corn, so fill your plot quickly and sell often.
  • Move up step by step. Spend your earnings on the next seed up the price list instead of saving for one huge seed.
  • Guard your crops. Stealing still exists, so read our crop stealing guide if thieves keep visiting.

Spirit crops in the Ghoul Garden seed shop

The Ghoul Garden seed shop sells about 26 seeds and restocks every 5 minutes. Most of them are Spirit versions of crops you already know, like Spirit Carrot, Spirit Apple, Spirit Mushroom and Spirit Venom Spitter.

Players report that Spirit seeds cost the same number as the normal seed, just paid in Candy Corn instead of Sheckles. For example, a Spirit Carrot costs about 1 Candy Corn, a Spirit Corn about 2,500 and a Spirit Sunflower about 5 million. Stock chances look very close to the normal shop too, so you can use our restock timer as a rough guide to how often each one appears.

Spirit crops are a Halloween look for the same plant, so they are not listed as separate items on our values page. Check the normal crop page, like Mushroom or Sunflower, for the plant itself.

Great Pumpkin and Vampire Bloom

The two big prizes of the shop are the Super seeds Great Pumpkin and Vampire Bloom. Each one costs about 150 million Candy Corn and has only about a 0.2% chance to be in stock on each restock, so they are very rare.

Players also report a Robux option for both seeds. If you want one without spending Robux, the best plan is to grow your Candy Corn first and then check the shop at every restock. Their crop values are still being worked out, so we show "value coming soon" until we can confirm them.

The Witch's Cauldron

The Witch's Cauldron is the most unusual part of the event. Instead of buying seeds, you put in items and brew a seed. Brewing happens at night and you can only make one recipe at a time. Each brew also has a chance to fail, and a failed brew loses the ingredients, so be careful with your best items.

The cauldron brews three seeds you can't buy in the shop:

  • Spirethorn (Rare) - the easiest brew, with a low fail chance.
  • Dead Oak (Legendary) - fails a bit under half the time, players report.
  • Night Shade (Legendary) - the hardest of the three, with a fail chance of over 50%.

The Halloween Pack

The Halloween Pack is a seed pack that gives one random seed. It holds the three cauldron seeds above plus one very rare Mythic seed, Candied Cornflower, which drops only about 0.5% of the time. Like other packs, most opens give the common result, so don't expect the Mythic often. Our seed packs guide explains how pack odds work.

Pets, gear and props

The update also brought Halloween pets, new gear and new prop crates. Their exact prices and abilities are still being checked, so we will add them to the values list once the numbers are confirmed. In the meantime, check our best pets guide for the pets you can already get.

Is Ghoul Garden worth playing?

Yes, especially if you like a fresh start. The early Spirit crops are cheap, so you can build a working farm in minutes. The cauldron and pack seeds are a nice bonus for collectors, and Great Pumpkin and Vampire Bloom are a great long goal. Just remember it is a seasonal event, so items may stop showing up once Halloween is over.

FAQ

Do my Ghoul Garden crops go to my main garden?

No. Ghoul Garden has its own save, so crops and Candy Corn earned there stay in Ghoul Garden.

Can I use Sheckles in Ghoul Garden?

No. The Ghoul Garden shops use Candy Corn. You earn it by growing and selling crops on the Halloween map.

How rare is the Great Pumpkin seed?

Very rare. Players report about a 0.2% stock chance per restock and a price of about 150 million Candy Corn.

Can a Witch's Cauldron brew fail?

Yes. Every recipe has a fail chance, and a failed brew loses its ingredients. Spirethorn is the safest brew to start with.
